Information for Faculty Members

If you are looking for service-learning teaching support for the next academic semester, please email

I cannot say that teaching with service-learning is easy or that students universally value it while they’re in it. It’s messy and it’s hard – both for them and for me. But just when I’m ready to give up and take the easy road, something magical inevitably happens. I live for that magic.

Interested in exploring what collaborating with community-engaged teaching and research looks like?

CETR primarily supports faculty in two ways: (1) supporting the integration of community-engagement into a course and (2) consulting around community-engaged research and scholarship practices. Explore opportunities around these areas below, in addition to learning about our professional development and community building opportunities.

Faculty Members: complete our Fall 2024 Call for Community-Engaged Courses form to indicate whether or not you will be teaching a service-learning course next semester.
