Jackson Jirard (Associate Director)
New Orleans-born and Pennsylvania-raised, Jackson Jirard is now a Bostonian artist and educator. He received his BA in Psychology from Stanford University, his M.Ed. in Human Development & Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and has been researching power, responsibility, and emotional well-being for many years. After graduating, Jackson stayed in MA and became the Associate Director of Rehearsal for Life’s Urban Improv. There he had the opportunity to build a humanistic expertise for community-based, non-profit programming, and uncovered a deep passion for mission-driven work. Now, Jackson is extremely excited to collaborate with the CETR team, as well as their communal and academic partners, to make our world(s) a more connected place. When not responding to emails, Jackson loves moving artistically. He danced professionally with Ballet Austin in Texas, Sacramento Ballet in California, and Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre in Cambridge. He has also choreographed for Columbia Pictures and the sadly defunct New Repertory Theatre, and still performs for several other local theater companies when possible, like Lyric Stage and Central Square Theater!
