On Thursday, December 7th the Curry Student Center Ballroom was full of students, faculty, representatives of community organizations and members of the local / NU community. All were there to learn from student presenters about their experiences with S-L this semester. The theme of this semesters EXPO was A Day at the Beach as everyone took a break from the cold and heard about the amazing partnerships from this semester.

What a semester it was with 965 students involved with S-L, serving with 96 community organizations. Representatives from S-L courses in all colleges, as well as the NU Explore and University Honors Program showcased their achievements at the EXPO. A list of all S-L courses from this semester and community partners is available inside the electronic EXPO booklet.

In addition to the EXPO, one S-L course, Cornerstones of Engineering taught by Dr. Susan Freeman, had its own semester ending event in partnership with Timothy Smith Network in the Curry Student Center on December 4th. At the event (pictured below), young students battled in a robotics tournament

On behalf of the entire S-L Team, we would like to express our warmhearted thank you to all community partners for another amazing semester. Thank you to the Service-Learning Teaching Assistants, Service-Learning Team Managers, faculty members, and Street Team members for your unwavering commitment and service to the program. Thank you to the Service-Learning Advisory Board (S-LAB), the Center of Community Service, and City and Community Affairs for your guidance and support.

With this semester completed, we look forward to welcoming the New Year and all of the exciting S-L partnerships it will bring!

Happy Holidays!

The Service-Learning Team at Northeastern
